Networking Function – 20 February 2020

On Thursday 20 February, The chamber kicked off its 2020 events programme with some informal networking drinks at the Maslow Hotel in Sandton.   A good crowd of returning members rubbed shoulders with a strong showing from the Australian High Commission, led by the High Commissioner herself, HE Gita Kamath and featuring Australia’s two military Attaches for Africa, Andrew Gilbert (Group Captain) and Theo Hadgis (Major).  It was fascinating to learn a little more about Australia’s contribution to the multiple UN-sponsored peace-keeping missions in our region.  Also enjoying the Chamber’s hospitality was the Chief Executive of SANCHAM, the Canadian Chamber in South Africa, Mike Morgan.  Mike is full of good ideas for joint events for the mutual benefit of the members of both chambers – we hope to bring you details soon
